An amazing encounter with the world's most famous mouse.
A thriller in Disneyworld.
This lecture-show is a rare pearl. Aided by projections, objects, music, Lautaro Vilo recounts a trip he took as a child to Orlando (Florida, USA), in the early nineties, as part of a child and youth exchange. There I was expecting a unclassifiable is enticing and it left an indelible mark for the rest of his days. The setting of this meeting is nothing less than the amusement park Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Will have everything they lived and everything he knows. "This is a story I wanted to definitely have a long time. A few years ago I see on the news how some real events have the chance to present themselves as metaphors. That has always been a very strong line of work for me. But in this case was different. Here was something to dust off the memory, trauma, and ineffable or just ridiculous, had wanted to bury. When I called to propose the direction of American Mouse, did not suspect the adventure that awaited me. I invited her home and told me to show the work. Aided by a small laptop started his "conference." I thought of what could, from the direction of the project, contributing in this original and compelling story and how my provenance theater as actor-director (the theater of the body and objects, the clown) could enrich their work. And so begins this new stage of development of American Mouse. of the story, this thin plot that exists between reality and fiction throughout the work, between the academic conference and the urgent, intimate confession, between the dream and the absurd to go for the dimension expressive body, and the metaphorical and poetic possibilities of the objects. American Mouse is a multidisciplinary show whose establishment we convened a team of collaborators from various scenic and visual languages. Artists from the theater (the text, the body of the scenery, the puppets), the régie opera, music and visual arts (photography and plastics). And they work to create a world stage, lighting and sound to present to the park and its contrasts, the road traumatic brief meeting that marked him for life and the illusion of traveling in the eyes of who sees shine for the first time. is an actor, teacher and director. He studied acting at the Center for Theatre Studies in Mexico City. He specialized in physical theater at The Desmond Jones School of Myme and Physichal Theatre in London and at the Ecole Lecoq in Paris. working for 15 years acting and directing plays, and teacher action in places such as the Center for Cinematographic of Mexico, the Escuela de Circo La Arena in Buenos Aires, and a teacher of physical theater Academic Extension Course Career Institute of Dramatic Arts, National University of Arts (IUNA) and Teacher Training Project "Rolling Art" of the Ministry of Education of Argentina. Since 2005 works as a clown of the show Nomade by Cirque Eloize from Montreal, Canada.
Lautaro Vilo
is an actor, playwright, director and teacher. Degree in Theatre and Professor of Theatre (UNICE), specializing in Drama (EAD). Since 2002, develops an intense teaching in universities, public and private workshops, both in Buenos Aires as inside and outside the country. has written a dozen books, among which include: 23,344, Alto Valle, an act of communion, the child's grave moral, Caucasus, and American Grace Mouse. As an actor has participated in over twenty productions. The group is part of the Eminent Patterns of Steam, in which he writes directs and stars. With this group performs a trilogy inspired by international news: An act of Communion (on the German cannibal Armin Meiwes) and Caucasus (on taking the Dubrovka Theater in Russia) are first and second respectively. The third will be released in 2010.
